MAX SOURCING · CHINA QUALITY CONTROL
Check the sample. Monitor production. Inspect before shipment.
Make purchasing decisions with a clearer view of what your supplier is delivering. MAX Sourcing supports sample and bulk order inspection in China, connecting product sourcing, production follow-up, quality checks, warehouse coordination and shipping preparation.
For lighting, LED aluminum profiles, apparel, hardware and electronic products. Inspection scope is agreed for each order.
01 / BEFORE BULK PRODUCTION
Sample Inspection
Review the sample against your specifications, reference images, drawings and agreed requirements before committing to a larger order. A sample check helps identify differences early; it does not establish that every unit in a future production batch will match.
Appearance & workmanship
Check color, finish, visible damage, assembly, stitching or surface quality, as applicable to the product.
Specifications & components
Compare key dimensions, materials, accessories, components and labeling with your approved requirements.
Agreed functional checks
Check basic operation or fit where practical and safe, using the test methods and equipment agreed before inspection.
Findings for your decision
Document inspected items, visible differences and open questions with inspection notes and photographs, according to the agreed scope.
02 / DURING PRODUCTION & BEFORE DISPATCH
Bulk Order Inspection
Our general bulk inspection workflow combines material and component checks during production with a pre-shipment inspection. We confirm the batch quantity, acceptance criteria, inspection methods and access arrangements with you and your supplier before work begins.
1. During production: 100% material and component checks
Materials and components are fully inspected against the agreed inspection criteria during production. Checks focus on the specified material, dimensions, appearance, condition and component requirements relevant to the order. The exact checks and any technical testing must be agreed in advance.
2. Before shipment: inspect 20% of the batch
Inspect 20% of the total units in the shipment batch, with sample selection planned across the relevant cartons, models, colors or sizes. Compare the selected units with the approved sample, order specifications and agreed acceptance criteria.
If more than 10% of the inspected sample units are nonconforming, escalate to 100% inspection of that batch. The nonconforming rate is the number of inspected units that fail the agreed criteria divided by the total number of units inspected. A unit with several defects is counted once in this rate.
Example: For a 1,000-unit batch, inspect 200 units. If more than 20 of those units are nonconforming, inspect all 1,000 units. Exactly 10% does not trigger this particular escalation rule; it does not automatically mean the shipment is accepted.
3. Verify products and shipping details
Check whether the products, packaging, cartons, shipping marks, carton numbers and other agreed shipping details meet the buyer’s requirements. Record discrepancies for correction before shipment approval.
Important: The 20% / more-than-10% procedure is MAX Sourcing’s stated workflow, not a claim of compliance with an AQL sampling standard. Critical or safety-related issues must be escalated regardless of the percentage. Inspection findings support the buyer’s shipment decision; they are not a zero-defect guarantee.

Inspection Matched to Your Product
We tailor the checklist to the products MAX Sourcing helps buyers procure, rather than applying the same visual check to every category.
- Lighting and custom lighting: appearance, finish, dimensions, assembly, supplied accessories, labels and agreed basic operation.
- LED aluminum profiles: profile dimensions, surface finish, straightness, covers, end caps and accessory fit.
- Apparel and sportswear: measurements, fabric and color references, stitching, visible defects, size labels and packing assortment.
- Hardware: dimensions, finish, component completeness, fit and visible workmanship.
- Electronic products: model identification, labels, connectors, accessories and agreed basic functional checks.
Laboratory testing, material composition analysis, electrical safety certification and regulatory compliance assessments require a separately agreed specialist scope. They are not implied by a visual or basic functional inspection.
From Inspection Brief to Shipment Decision
- Share your order: product details, supplier location, quantities and production or shipping schedule.
- Agree the checklist: approved samples, specifications, acceptable tolerances, defect criteria and required checks.
- Arrange the inspection: confirm access, sampling, timing, deliverables and quotation, including the scope of any full-inspection escalation.
- Review the findings: assess recorded issues, request corrective action and agree any reinspection before making the shipment decision.
Inspection can be coordinated with our China sourcing services, 1688 purchasing support and warehouse operations.
